Made this for little Chloe who was celebrating her 1st b'day. Over all used about 20 cupcakes and covered them with butter cream, before piping the alphabets and numbers on them.
"Hantaran" cupcakes are made either by the bride or groom to be given as a "gift" either during the engagement or the wedding. Made this for my friend's niece. All the cupcakes are chocolate cakes and covered with fondant.
It was not easy finding a clear enough picture for the Bacardi 151. In the end, I used this and had it printed on a frosting sheet. The idea to use the bottle to resemble the No.1 for the 21st B'day cake was by Kesava for his cousin Nishan.
This idea was taken from Debbie Brown. It was for a Marina who was celebrating her b'day and her friend, Redza wanted something naughty to surprise her.
When I received this order for a chocolate cake, Sofie said she'd leave the design to me. I have always wanted to try out piping carnations and since I manage to get the tips a while back, I decided I would try this on the cake. It was rather easy as one is able to pipe the flowers directly on the cake. Having the chocolate ganache as the topping on the cake also helps as it does not get ruined when the tips touches it.
I had this request for a 5 year old girl. Fortunately the design turned out looking like Tom & Jerry. Working with a smaller design is often challenging. Thus one cant always use the star tip to cover the area and here I used dots and just lines.
Welcome to my blog. It's filled with pics of all the cakes I have baked and decorated. Take your time to view and I hope it tempts you enough to want to have one yourself. Thanks for dropping by and do leave your comments.
Hi my name is Beatrice. Have always loved baking and have been baking since I was a kid. It was only years later that I managed to find somewhere to learn more about cake decorating and the interest kept growing. Pursued my passion in Melbourne and I am now a qualified pastry chef.
