Friends & Ballons

Tried out imprinting the pattern on the chocolate for this cake. I must say it was as easy as working on fondant.

Sofie & Her love

I call it Sofie's love, coz she really loves her washing maching. Well...that would be a whole story by itself which I would save for another place and time.
Anyways the idea was also from Debbie Brown's "Ease Party Cakes" though I changed it to a top load machine.
The theme was voilets and thus did shades of it for the clothes, soap box & softerner too. Didnt want a violet cake though.

Welcome Baby Kino

Having a wide selection of ideas to make for a baby boy I settled for these booties in blue. For the Chinese, having red eggs is mandatory. The eggs were distributed when the baby is a month’s old. Red eggs symbolise good luck, roundness (as in complete happiness) and a sign of fertility/prosperity. Red eggs are usually given as gifts when a newborn baby reaches one month. Red eggs are also made during birthdays.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Have been meaning to try this recipe out for such a long time and then since it was Valentine's day, thought what better way then to make these for friends.
I was rather impressed with the texture. It really did feel like velvet, the cake just melts in your mouth.

44th Wedding Anniversary Cupcakes

These chocolate cupcakes were for a friend's uncle and aunt who were celebrating their 44th Wedding Anniversary.

Melanie & Subra's Wedding

My first all fondant decorated wedding cake. The cakes are all fruit cakes that was baked by the family of the bride and given to me to be decorated. Melanie did show me a with the geometric shapes. Unfortunately since the cake was a little too thin, I improvised on the design and raised the top tier to give the cake some height.
Working to get the burgundy colour was a challenge, but in the end I managed to get the colour to match the flowers which were already purchased.

The set up at the reception hall.
