Manchaster United

Having done the Liverpool logo, someone asked for the MU logo on a cake. I must admit, the logo is much easier to do...as the designs are simpler.

The run-out being dried.

The run-out beside the traced logo

Run-out transferred to the cake

The cake completed.

Now do you think someone from the MU foot ball club will call me for an order? Please pass the word to them...anyone...Thanks.

Raya Diwali Cake

This for the "open house" by from a corporate client. They wanted a 4kg cake. So instead of just making one type of cake, I combined 2 butter and 2 chocolate cakes in a checker board shape.
The "Ketupat" and "Indian Oil Lamps" were cut out from fondant and placed on the cake.

The 4 cakes after it was crumb coated.

Ben10 on chocolate cake

Ben10 seems to be popular these days. Am getting the hang of doing the run outs, but they still need to dry better before transfering or they fall into pieces.
This was placed on a chocolate cake topped with chocolate ganache. To Vinod and Premi, thanks for the order. Hope Harish like the little surprise

LIVERPOOL JERSEY

Shamini wanted either a football shaped cake or a Liverpool Jersey. So decided on the jersey with the Liverpool logo. Made the runout logo, on reverse to see how it would turn out. Guess each layer needs to dry a little before the backing is added to it.
This is a moist chocolate cake, layered with butterscotch. Yummmmmy.
And Andre is the boy who celebrated his 7th Birthday.

Butter Cake for the Golden Parishners

A butter cake with butter icing. Sometime working with butter icing in this hot humid climate is not easy. It takes ages for the crumb coated layer to dry before adding the finishing touches. Even then, it smudges ever so easily.
Hand piped the roses for this simple cake.

STAR WARS

A butter cake, layered with chocolate ganache. The logo of Star Wars would have looked nice on a black background....but was not too sure if anyone would eat a black iced cake. So just stuck to this.

Selamat Hari Raya

A simple butter cake with butter icing. The difference is the "ketupat" that is often used to symbolise the Hari Raya celebrations in Malaysia.
The "ketupat" here is made from fondant and placed in the cake. For those who may not know what a ketupat is...its actually coconut leaves woved into a square sort of basket, filled with rice and boiled. The rice is served with curry or satay.
