Ben 10 & Cupcakes for a birthday boy

Neeshant's 6th was really special. His mum Pam ordered 2 cakes to celebrate the day.
One was of Ben 10 - obviously a favourite of Neeshant. I was told he perhaps now have a whole collection of Ben10 toys and stuff. Happy 6th Birthday Neeshant.

Nontheless, I realise that having a bigger design helps get the details more accurate. Otherwise, one has to spend more time getting the details just right or it gets lost.

The 2nd cake were just butter cupcakes arranged to form a number "6". As much as I tried to fit these onto the biggest board I had, I think if the board was slightly broader, the "6" would more like a 6, rather than a squashed one. Still learning...

Expressing your love the cupcake way

It's nice for a change to see a guy express his love to his girl and what more with something different other than flowers. I thought this idea was so cute...and not to mention romantic. So Ruben I hope Goay Imm loved the cupcakes and the love showed through them.

Violets & Forget-Me-Nots Cupcakes

I received this order via Cake Connections (www.cakeconnection.com.my). Have used the Violets and Forget-me-nots supplied by them.
This was an order for an offical launch function. Simple butter cupcakes decorated with butter cream and topped with the flowers.

Simple wedding cake

Deciding on a wedding cake is never an easy task, more so when there are so many beautiful designs to choose from. As much as I sometimes love the elaborate details, it is often the simplest ones that look better. As they say, less is more.
This was a chocolate cake. Each stack is 2 cakes high sandwiched in between with chocolate ganache. Covered with fondant and dotted with RI.

One lucky Birthday girl

Pauline has often told me how cute the doggie cake is(profile pic) and she could not wait to have one for her daughter's birthday. So this was specially made for Vanessa who turned 4. But the difference here is that Vanessa got to celebrate her 4th birthday with 3 different cakes.

I was informed by Pauline, quote "This is the most beautiful Doggie Vanessa has ever seen! It was the best surprise for her!! :)...it was tooooo painful for her to even taste her own cake...she just ate the green icing by the side...haha!" unquote.

This just makes it all worth while. Thanks Pauline & Vanessa.

Then the 2nd Birthday cake are these chocolate cupcakes decorated with a bunnie on each of them with the wordings "Happy Birthday Vanessa". I hope I made the kids happy with these free hand designs.

The 3rd birthday cake then was this Number "4" cake. It's a orange flavoured butter cake, with orange flavoured butter icing. It sure was pleasant baking this cake as the whole house smelt so citrus-y.

Close up on the roses.
