Cinnamon & Coffee Cupcakes

Found this recipe online and decide to try it out. Overall, I loved the smell of the cinammon as the cupcakes baked away. Most of them who ate the cupcakes loved it. Guess it all depends if one likes cinnamon or not.
Instant coffee is added to the butter cream for its flavour.





This was what one of my friends who tried the cupcakes had to say. I quote "I am a fan of both cinnamon and coffee.. I must say the combination is very nice.

When you open the box, the coffee would attack your olfactory like a SWAT team. Once that is over (and it may sound a little masochistic, but coffee can attack me anytime!), the gentle but steady breeze of cinnamon soothes your senses.

Just when you think you've had enough, you bite into the yummilicious concoction, and what your nose experienced before, your tongue experiences. The slight bitterness of the coffee takes the edge out of the normally halucination inducing buttercream (though, many a times, sugar high is not a bad thing :P). Many would hate that coffee aftertaste (and smell) in the mouth. Worry not. Cinnamon is here to the rescue.

After you've done devouring the mini sensory bomb (a.k.a cupcake), you're left with a nice lingering smell of cinnamon and a great sense of satisfaction.

Ohh I did use real cinnamon, Cinnamon...its readily available here in Malaysia. Thanks for the info. Will be sure to check out the link.
